Meet Dr. Jennifer Barrett
Tacoma Dentist
Dr. Jennifer Barrett was born and raised in North Tacoma and is proud to serve the community she calls home. She attended Lowell, Mason, and Stadium schools before earning her Biology degree from Washington State University. Dr. Barrett then completed her dental education at Indiana University School of Dentistry and further advanced her clinical expertise through training at the renowned Kois Center in Seattle. She is a dedicated member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and the Pierce County Dental Society.
Patients frequently describe Dr. Barrett as gentle, kind, and attentive, qualities that define her approach to care. She takes time to understand each patient’s needs and is known for helping people feel at ease during every visit. Outside of the office, Dr. Barrett lives in Gig Harbor with her husband, Hunter, their son, Carter, daughter, Sloane, and their dog, Gage. Meet Destini – Dental Hygienist
Destini earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Eastern Washington University and has always found joy in helping others achieve healthy, radiant smiles. Her gentle approach and upbeat personality help make patients feel comfortable and cared for. She believes Barrett Family Dental is the ideal fit because of the kindness, understanding, and shared passion for patient care that define the team.
In her free time, Destini enjoys walking by the water, playing with her dog, and attending music festivals. Her cheerful presence and dedication to oral health make her a valued part of the practice.
Meet Kayla – Dental Assistant
With over nine years of experience as a dental assistant, Kayla brings both skill and compassion to every patient interaction. She enjoys working in such a warm, welcoming environment and takes pride in helping patients feel at ease while receiving high-quality dental care.
Outside of the office, Kayla loves attending country music festivals and spending time with family and friends. Warm summer nights around a bonfire are her favorite way to relax and unwind. She and her husband, CJ, have an adorable son, Chase, that keeps them very busy!
Meet Jolie – Dental Assistant
Jolie has been a dental assistant for 35+ years and still brings the same energy and enthusiasm she had from day one. She is passionate about her work and is committed to making every patient’s visit a positive experience. Her goal is to ensure each person feels relaxed, informed, and well cared for.
Known for her uplifting attitude and team spirit, Jolie contributes to the friendly and supportive atmosphere at Barrett Family Dental. Outside the office, she and her husband enjoy gardening and spending as much time as possible with their grandkids.
